Tours

Out of respect for the deceased and their families, not everyone can receive a tour of the facility. A limited number of tours will be available for fire personnel, law enforcement, and government agencies involved in the medical legal justice system.

Hours: The Medical Examiner's Office operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The office is open to the general public: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except for official Cook County holidays.

 

Identification Hours:  11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., weekends and official Cook County holidays.
