Welcome to the Cook County Investor Relations home page.  

 

Located at the southern tip of Lake Michigan in northeast Illinois, Cook County encompasses the City of Chicago and surrounding suburban areas.

 

The County’s broad mix of businesses, its people and ideal location combine to keep the region vibrant. 5.3 million people, 16 Fortune 500 companies, the world’s second busiest airport and the nation’s largest railroad hub all call Cook County home. 

 

County government is responsible for public health and public safety, as well as maintenance of over 1,500 miles of roadway and 130 bridges.

Cook County provides a highly rated credit structure. A diverse revenue base has helped it remain on sound fiscal footing even during economic downturns.

County Preliminary Official Statement Available for 2010 Bonds

Cook County has now published the Preliminary Official Statements for its General Obligation Bonds, Series 2010 A, B, C, D and E.

These bonds will have a sale date of June 10, 2010.
