Cook County Human Rights Ordinance (PDF Original 1993 Format)
Ordinance passed by the Cook County Board of Commissioners on March 16, 1993. This ordinance protects all people who live and work in the County from discrimination and sexual harassment in employment, public accommodations, housing, credit transactions, County services and County contracting.

The Commission has adopted these procedural rules and substantive regulations related to implementation of the Human Rights Ordinance. PLEASE NOTE: The rules were revised as of January 13, 2005 to include new interpretive rules related to disability discrimination in employment and March 20, 2007 to amend Commission rules and general definitions.
