Since 1914, the Forest Preserve District of Cook County has protected and preserved the flora, fauna, and many acres of open lands for the residents of Cook County.

The three central tenets upon which the District was formed — education, preservation, and recreation — remain the guideposts for their daily activities, even today.

The Districts website provides information about Forest Preserve locations, events, programs, recreation spaces, golf courses and more. Click here to visit the Forest Preserve Districts website.
